NITROL TREATMENT FILTER - ION EXCHANGE PLASTIC Particles
Nitrate (Nitrogen) treatment filter beads, also known with the following names: Ion exchange resin beads, nitrogen treatment filter materials.
Currently, on the market, there are many types of nitrogen treatment filter materials, but to understand the use of each type of material for each type of wastewater, please analyze as follows:
In wastewater, nitrogen compounds exist in the following forms: Organic compounds, ammonium and oxidized compounds (nitrite and nitrate).
Wastewater after biological treatment (anoxic and aerobic) The nitrogen in wastewater will partly evaporate (N2), partly convert to organic forms (removed by residual microbial sludge) and a large amount will convert from nitrite to nitrate. According to some analysis results of wastewater from projects such as water after Sedimentation 2, biological lake water, nitrate accounts for a very large proportion in wastewater (80-99%). Nitrate (NO3-) is a non-toxic form of organic nitrogen, but when taking samples for analysis, if the nitrate content is high, it will exceed the total nitrogen of wastewater.
According to the nitrogen metabolism cycle, nitrate (NO3-) has two ways to convert into N2 by microorganisms and absorption by plants.
In wastewater treatment, to treat Nitrogen or Nitrates (NO3-) after biological treatment, there will be a building (biological lake - with plants). Plants in this project will absorb nitrate present in wastewater and reduce total nitrogen. However, the disadvantage of this method is that it takes up a large construction area, the treatment efficiency is not high, and it is difficult to adjust the processing efficiency.

2. BENEFITS TREATMENT METHOD
In order to thoroughly treat Nitrogen (nitrate) in wastewater, ion exchange method should be applied. The principle of this method is that the ion exchange filter particles will absorb NO3- ions, after absorbing a certain amount of NO3- in the wastewater, the filter particles will be converted to saline solution (NaCl) and continue to regenerate. use.
Conduct method:
Nitrogen filter particles will be contained in a filter tank (similar to a pressure filter tank).
Waste water will be pumped into the filter tank and contact with the filter particles.
In the filter tank, between the wastewater and the filter particles, the ion exchange process takes place, the NO3– ions will be absorbed into the filter particles, the absorption capacity of the filter particles is up to 99%.
After a certain period of operation, the filter will run out of ability to absorb NO3 – so it is necessary to revert to reuse.

Reconstitute the filter beads:
The reverting process is relatively simple and the cost is quite low. The filter media is reconstituted with saline solution (NaCl).
Proceed to shutdown the system within 15 - 40 minutes.
Pump the NaCl solution into the tub (flood the filter beads), soak the filter beads in the solution for 25-30 minutes.
Then drain the filter rinse, and proceed with normal operation.
