14 new projects have been started and are under construction of the city's health sector
Those are 13 projects of the public hospital block and 1 project of the preventive block of the city's health sector that have been started construction, will be completed and put into operation from now to 2021.
Following the new construction of district hospitals and health centers, it can be said that city hospitals have never had as many new constructions as in the current period. This is not only the good news of the people of the city but also the expectation of medical staff for many years, and soon the city hospitals will have new, more spacious and more modern infrastructure. to be able to deploy diagnostic and treatment techniques on par with other countries in the region, aiming to better serve and take care of people's health.

1 City Center for Disease Control
Location: No. 125/61 Au Duong Lan, Ward 2, District 8, HCMC
Type of work: Civil (medical) - Grade II - Group B. Investor: City Preventive Medicine Center (now City Center for Disease Control)
Scale of the project: Total planning area: 10,061.8m2; Total land area: 10,061.8m2; Construction area: 1,539.4m2; Building density: 29.76%; Building height: 05 floors; Total construction floor area: 4.547.7m2.
Currently, the rough part has been completed, finishing work is in progress, it is expected that by the end of December 2019, it will be completed and put into use.
2 Oncology Hospital 2
Construction location: Road 400, Cay Dau Hamlet, Tan Phu Ward, District 9, Ho Chi Minh City.
Type of works: Civil (medical) works; Works grade I, group A; Investment scale: 1,000 beds

3 Blood Transfusion Hematology Hospital
Construction site: Tan Kien Medical Cluster, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City
Type of works: Civil (medical) works; Works grade II, group B; Investment scale: 300 beds.
Investor: Construction Investment Management Board under the Department of Health (now the Management Board of Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Projects). Total investment of the project: 495,000,000,000 VND.
Planned land area: 21,025.16m2 (15,450,640m2 - land area for external traffic, safety corridor of high-voltage electricity line and ancient tomb). Construction area: 6,455m2. Building density: ≤35%.
Currently, the work has poured the 2nd floor floor, is implementing the construction of reinforced beams for the 3rd floor. It is expected that November 2020 will be completed and put into use.
4 Medical Testing Center

6 Tu Du Hospital – Areas B and C

Scale: including 2 basements and 11 floors (01 ground floor + 10 floors), 370 boarding beds, total floor area is 30,347.05m2
Completed volume of work: completed the tunnel foundation, reinforced concrete frame of the work, completing the work according to the approved schedule.
7 Hung Vuong Hospital - phase 2
Location: 126 Hong Bang, Ward 12, District 5, HCMC
Investor: Hung Vuong Hospital. Total investment: 345,703,734,000 VND
Size of hospital beds: 340 beds; Total construction floor area: 28,189.53m2 main works and auxiliary works.
Has basically completed the main items of the main building block (reaching about 97% of the total volume of the work).

Total investment: 332,156.425,000 VND.
Purpose of using the work: high-tech examination and treatment during the day.

11 Institute of Ethnic Medicine and Pharmacy – Day examination and treatment area

14 Children's Hospital 1 – Block 2, 4A, 5B

Each block has 13-15 floors with a total usable area of nearly 60,000 m2, this is a new facility for centers and specialized departments of Pediatrics in line with the development orientation of the City Health Sector.
The entire construction cost of 3 blocks is from the city budget, totaling more than 1,846 billion VND.
Specialized centers will form in 3 new blocks by the end of 2021, including: Pediatric Cardiology Center, Pediatric Emergency Resuscitation Center, Pediatric Poison Control Center, Pediatric Endoscopic Surgery Center, and Center for Pediatric Laparoscopic Surgery. neonatology, training center, audiologist, pediatric hematology-oncology... with full modern equipment such as artificial cardiopulmonary system, ECMO system, DSA imaging system, MRI, CT Scan 128 slices, laparoscopic surgery system, microsurgery, central monitoring system; central dispensing room with fully equipped international standards.
Currently dismantling existing structures. It is expected to be completed and put into use in October 2021.
